NICHOLAS J. CHETTA, JR.

Producer

“Rainmaker” is the one word that best describes his work. Nick takes a creative idea
and before you know it, it’s a reality. Nick has worked as a Marketing Executive and
Promoter/Producer for over 25 years. He has produced concerts featuring nationally
known artists such as George Carlin, Chuck Berry, Yes, The Allman Bros.  And The
Beach Boys. Nick’s experience in the music industry led him to television where he
created and produced “Aaron Neville’s Christmas in New Orleans” television special
featuring Aaron Neville, Linda Ronstadt and Take Six which aired on The Family
Channel and MTM TV. The show was highly successful and was nominated for a
national ACE award. He also syndicated “America’s Champion Making the United
Stated Team” on NBC for the Olympic Track and Field Trails. Nick is best known for
his promotion of Louisiana Musicians nationally and world wide, plus being the first
local producer to create, sell and produce national programs. In October of 1997
Producer Nicholas Chetta and Director Steven Scaffidi formed Scaffidi & Chetta
Entertainment. Together they created “First Date” a teenage dating show that
includes the teen’s parents. The show was developed and sold to New Line Cinema.
Currently Scaffidi and Chetta are creating two new television series, “Timmy’s
Travels” an adventure program for kids and their families and “Scissors” an off-beat
adult situation comedy. More original programs are being considered for the future.

In early 1999 Nick and Steve collaborated to produce “The People’s Story: The
Devastation of Central America.” This award-winning film won the Gold Medal at the
Houston World Film Festival for best documentary feature film and is being
considered for a possible nomination to the 2000 Academy Awards.

Nick is a graduate of Loyola University of the South in business administration,
majoring in marketing. Presently he resides in New Orleans, Louisiana, and he has
five children, Nichole, Kristen, Nicholas, John and Christopher.
